French Touch beta-testing program description :

We are always looking for power users who wish to help us testing our upcoming products.
The first thing to know concerning beta-testing is the fact that it isn't as easy as it appears! Actually, it requires a lot of time and patience, some serious knowledge of the gaming world (i.e. experience with many games is a plus but experience in game development would be even better), tracking down weird bugs/incompatibilities in the product and finally giving suggestions for the user interface and features of the product.
Now the answers to some questions you might have:

1) What is beta-testing ?

You get pre-release of the softwares either by e-mail or on an server, which you have to test according to a "test program" which defines what part of the program we expect you to test and on which game design elements (interface or music) we need your opinion.
When you have tested the software, you connect to a special web page where you can fill a form report.

2) What are the restrictions ?

Registering as a beta-tester for French Touch means you explicitly agree to:

• not redistribute the softwares.
• test completely every software you receive according to the software's test program.
• connect to the report web page and send the form in less than one week.
• answer to all the e-mails sent by French Touch concerning the beta testing of the product.

Testers that do not respect the agreement will be immediately deleted from our list.

3) Which benefits can a beta-tester expect from his work ?

When participating in our beta-testing program, you will

• help us design the "killer game" and therefore satisfy the Mac game community.
• get the softwares a few months before their official release.
• get a free copy of the final release of every software you test (*).

(*) conditions may change depending on the software. Full conditions will be specified to testers when beta-testing of the product begins.

Applying to French Touch Beta-Testing program :

To register a as beta-tester for French Touch, just fill carefully the form on the applying page.

When a beta version of a program is available we select some beta testers in the list depending on the test program and their configuration and send them an e-mail they have to answer to in order to get the beta.
